Josephine 'Giuseppina' Grace Tammaro, 86, formerly of Morgan Lane, Hamden passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Hospital of St. Raphael. Born in New Haven on November 14, 1925 to the late Pasquale and Immacolata DePalma DellaRocco. Wife of the late Gabriele Tammaro, she is survived by daughters, Susan Ann and her husband Timothy Liston of Cromwell and Cynthia Parisi of Cheshire; grandsons, Paul David Campagne and Michael Roger Parisi and a sister, Helen Vorio of North Haven. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Angelo, Thomas, Theodore and Louis DellaRocco and sisters, Jennie Gentile, Carmel Lawler, and Susan DellaRocco. Josephine was an avid bowler, a huge New York Yankees fan, enjoyed reading, and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, Friday, January 13th at 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Ave., North Haven at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Friday morning from 8:30 - 10:30 AM. Interment in Centerville Cemetery following the Mass.
