Karen attended Rhode Island School of Design, after which she married the love of her life and settled in Branford, CT to raise their family. In retirement, a move to Cape Cod provided many happy family memories. Karen was a gifted artist whose passions also included reading, spending time at the ocean, music, and flowers. She passed each of these qualities on to her children and grandchildren, which they will always treasure. Her family would especially like to thank Hanna, Helen, Inga, and Yelena for being by their Mom’s side with unending love and support.
Karen’s burial and a celebration of life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Branford Land Trust at www.branfordlandtrust.org, or the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org. Arrangements are in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home.

  2. Dear Tom, Deb, Ryan, Julie, Austin, Kate, Tobin, Alice, Henry & Thomas,
As you mourn the loss of your Mother, Mother in law, Grandma & Great Grandma know that our prayers and heartfelt condolences are with you all. xoxo

  3. Dear entire Kelly Family, I have many fond memories of your mom. We used to call each other Turtle Head. She would make me laugh so hard with her imitations of Bill Cosby and other comedians, while drinking coffee with my mother. Let all your happy memories help you through these difficult days to come.
    Sincerely, Lee Anderson

  4. I’ve known Karen since 2013 when I first came here to Elim Park. We used to enjoy going shopping together to Bon-Tons and she enjoyed trying on some of the makeup. We also attended the Cheshire Fall Festival and shared pizza together. I will miss her but know that she is in a better place and is at peace now. Please accept my most sincerest condolences to all her family. My thoughts and prayers go with you!
