Katherine Anne Rausch, 70, passed away on February 19, 2023 after a short illness at the Hospital of St. Raphael. She was born in Worcester, MA on June 17, 1952 to the late Edward and Virginia King Kozlowski. Kathy grew up in Sutton, MA before being introduced to her future husband, Daniel Max Rausch, at a church dinner. After their wedding, New Haven became home for the next 44 years. She received her BA from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY, and went on to graduate with her MBA from Sacred Heart University. Her faith and her church were extremely important to Kathy. As an active member of United Church on the Green in New Haven, she was involved with the United Community Nursery School program and was a member of the handbell choir. While growing up, Kathy took part in the 4-H Club and the Rainbow Girls. As an adult she went on to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her free time she enjoyed sewing and needlework, and had an appreciation for Classical music and a fondness for going to concerts. Kathy’s favorite pastime though, were walks on the beach at Lighthouse Point with her husband.
Besides the love of her life, Kathy will be remembered by her brother and sisters-in-law, Rich and Helen Kozlowski of Gales Ferry and Christine Kozlowski of Millbury, MA, and many nieces and nephews.
