  1. She was a good friend. She was in Houston while I was in San Antonio and they called us The two Texas tornadoes because we were too strong Women ! We’ve had some good times and she will be missed. She was a great person.

    • I am pausing to recall the times we shared together. Broadcast television was a bit of a Boy’s Club back in the day, and Kathleen, Nancy Geiger and I had to shepherd some pretty silly shenanigans after our SAC meetings. I am smiling and feeling blessed that I knew here. She was SUCH a special person. And loved by so many.

  2. Kathleen was a true inspiration and mentor to me. She believed in me and taught me many things about the television business. I missed her when she retired from Hearst and think of her often. May she rest in well earned peace.

  3. I am so happy to have known Kathleen while working with The Friends of the Library. As a library board member, she could not have been more enthusiastic and supportive of what our group was involved in. I can’t believe I will never again see her smiling face at one of our meetings or sales. She was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed.

  4. Shocked and saddened by this. Kathleen was a media colleague since 1982, and over the years, we shared many a story, and many, many laughs. Condolences from our family to yours.

  5. I worked with Kathleen years ago, when she was evaluating her career and exploring what else she wanted to do. I found her to be highly accomplished, brilliant, an out-of-the-box thinker, curious, warm, amusing and just delightful as a conversationalist.
My deepest condolences to her family and many dear friends. What a loss!

  6. My condolences to the Keefe family. Kathleen was a dear friend and I will miss her so much.

  7. My condolences to the Keefe family. So many fond memories after we graduated and lived in Manhattan.

  8. Condolences and blessings to the family. Kathleen and I met way back to the 80s and had an absolute blast getting to know each other and getting to grow together in this industry. She made an enormous, positive impact on many people. May she rest in peace.

  9. I am so sorry to hear of Kathleen’s passing. She was a lovely person and I enjoyed her visits to Kansas City. I think about Kathleen often and when I do it makes me smile. Sending loving thoughts to Kathleen’s family… I am sure she will be greatly missed.

  10. Very Very Sad News…. Worked with Kathleen at WFSB and KPRC. Along with being a rock as a co-worker, she was also a personal friend to myself and my wife. Always loved Kathleen. Prayers to all the Keefe family.

  11. Sending my love and deepest condolences to the Keefe Family. Kathleen was a college classmate….we loved her dearly… Rest in peace, sweet girl.

  12. I am broken hearted to hear of the loss of my dear friend Kathleen. We were planning a visit in October when I am scheduled to come back east. Kathleen and I were “besties” in our early twenties – a friendship that lasted a life time. Kathleen, until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

  13. Kathleen “Kathy” was one of my girls during our year in Oxford. She was a leader even then and I depended on her to let me know which way the wind was blowing.I had nine, nineteen year old girls (I was 35) living in a garret/with pre WWII plumbing! We had a ball -but it was important to keep the morale up and Kath was always there to bolster morale and be conscious of how lucky we all were to be there. She was my supporter and we became good friends. Even after her time at TC we kept in touch.I saw her last at Sr Margaret Claydon’s funeral to whom she was devoted. May they both rest in peace enjoying the view from above.
