Meriden- Kenneth D. Staschke, 76, husband of Dorothy Denison (Dubuc) Staschke passed away on Sunday, April 15 at his home. He was born September 1, 1930 in Meriden a son of the late Paul E. and Rose A.(Cote) Staschke. He attended Meriden schools and was a dispatcher for 32 years for Suzio Concrete Co. Inc. retiring in 1987. Ken was very passionate about hunting, fishing and running "The Farm". He was a member of Bigelow-Howard Fish & Game in Hampton, CT. Besides his wife Dorothy, he is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Kim and John Sefton of Lafayette, CA, Patty and Raymond Hard of Meriden, Leslie Dubuc of Meriden, three sons and their spouses, Kenneth J. Staschke of Meriden, Dennis and Debra Dubuc of Westbrook and David and Luanne Dubuc of Fort Myers, FL, two sisters, Marie Gardiner of Meriden, Andrea Stange of Meriden and one brother, Roy Staschke of Plantsville. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Jeremy and Brittny Staschke of Meriden, Joseph, Marie and Peter Sefton of California and David and Katherine Dubuc of Westbrook. He was predeceased by a brother Paul Staschke. Relatives and friends may call at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden on Tuesday, April 17 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be private. Contributions in Ken's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.

  1. All I know is that Ken was living in the midst of a Great Family. Many people who were touched by him, reached-out to Others, whom were Touched by Him personally.. or by someone in his Family. They have touched me. I thank him for that. And he’s right UP there with Max Yasgar (the Woodstock farmer) who would share his Field with a million people if they needed a place to graze. (or cook hamburgers). I salute Kenneth D. Staschke. A man who did it all, and made others feel good in the process.
