Laura E. (Keim) Kindt, 80, of Ashlar Village, Wallingford CT, wife for 58 years of Robert H. Kindt, Jr. died on June 8 at Masonicare Hospice in Wallingford. Born in Hagarstown, MD, the daughter of the late Merle and Ellen (Bolan) Keim. She grew up in Mercersburg and Annville, both in PA, and graduated from nurses training at Bryn Mawr (PA) Hospital in 1957, then worked at Greenwich, St. Raphael's and Middlesex Hospital (Essex Shoreline Clinic) during her career. She enjoyed reading, knitting and boating, and was active in the Westbrook Congregational Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four children; daughter Robin Cobb and husband Rick of Wallingford, son David Kindt and his wife Cindy of Glastonbury, daughter Jody Beaulieu and husband Jon of Boston, and daughter Barbara Cronin and husband Jon of High Point, NC. Another daughter, Nancy, died shortly after birth in 1967. Also surviving are 9 fantastic grandchildren; Chandler, Griffin, Jeremy, Elizabeth, Whitney, Rececca, Jason, Maddie, and Alex. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Judith Palm and husband Elton of Westbrook, and her brother-in-law Richard Kindt and wife Beverly of Lebanon PA. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held in the Westbrook Congregational Church on a date not yet determined, after which her family will meet friends following the service, in the church's Fellowship Hall. Burial in Cypress Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laura's memory to the Westbrook Congregational Church.
