Meriden - Laurie Patricia Hall died suddenly at home, Saturday, January 9, 2009. She was born September 6, 1962, the fourth daughter of Bruce Hall and the late Joan Fearn Hall. Laurie worked in the insurance industry after graduating from Middletown H.S., and in the recent past had used her self-taught culinary skills in several area eateries, most recently The Lunch Box in Meriden. Her love for her family, and her warmth and gentleness will be missed by all of us who loved her. The holidays are forever changed, and her delectable food offerings at every family gathering, like her, cannot be replaced. Laurie has left a wake of tears behind as her family grieves her death, which came too soon. She is survived by her precious child, Alyssa Hall-Hanscom, her partner, Dan Hanscom both of Meriden and her sisters, Sharon Amoroso and her husband Anthony of Lydonville, VT and Linda and her husband Daniel Hatch of Meriden. Her nieces and nephews: Deanna, Rebecca and John Amoroso and his wife, Erica; Meghan and Patrick Hatch, Jacyln DeMartino and her husband Rich, Lauren Gordon and her husband Lydell and their son, Elijah, her loving second mother, Myrtle 'Sami' Hall, an uncle, William Fearn, an aunt Louise Fearn, a beloved aunt, Phyllis Stiles; and many cousins. She was predeceased by a sister Anita Hall. Funeral services will be a private affair for the family. The Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden is in charge of the arrangements.
