Lena P. Lovig
Lena P. Lovig, age 76 of West Haven, passed away January 3, 2012 at home. Lena was the widow of Wayne Lovig. Born in New Haven on August 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late William and Jessie Jasmin Rogers. Lena is survived by her daughters, Donna Butts of Hamden, Carol Gray & Cassandra Rogers of West Haven; sons Donald Butts of Shelton and William Butts of West Haven; brothers William Rogers & wife Patricia, Edward Rogers & wife Linda; sister-in-law Jenny Rogers all of West Haven; grandchildren Marie Reuter & husband Charles, Jade Pelosi of West Haven, Sean White of Phoenix, AZ, Donald & Joshua Butts of New Haven & Richard Pelosi of West Haven; great-grandchildren, Emma & Branden Reuter of Stratford. Lena is pre-deceased by her sisters Carol Evancovitch & Claire Giddings; brothers Clarence Rogers & Francis Rogers. Lena enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren & friends at the West Haven Senior Centers. A lifelong resident of West Haven, she loved playing Bingo & day trips to the casinos. Lena was a great Mother, Wife & Friend & will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Funeral Service Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
