She was born in New Haven, a daughter of the late Gennaro (Jerry) Lupoli and Alice Mongillo Lupoli. Lee was a graduate of Hillhouse High School, Grace Hospital School of Nursing and SCSC. She was a registered nurse for over 42 years, including 25 years on private duty. She had a love for nursing and caring for people, but because of knee problems, failing eyesight and hearing she could no longer practice in this profession. Her time was filled with her family and many extended friends. Her love was boundless, even when she was not well, her first sentence to one in need was 'How can I help you?'. Lee was an avid reader and did exquisite embroidery for the family. Even in pain, her humor gave comfort to others. She began a brief career as an author of short stories and poems. A book was published and she was interviewed by Randy Beach for an article in the New Haven Register. Lee was a member of Grace-NH School of Nursing Alumni Association. Special thanks to her many caregivers, especially Krystyna. Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to St. Lawrence Church, 207 Main St., West Haven on Wed. Jan. 30, 2008 at 11 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
