Leslie J. Prokop, Sr, age 94, passed away on September 17, 2011 at his residence in Elim Park in Cheshire. A Native of New Haven, Leslie was a longtime resident of Spring Glen in Hamden and a summer resident of Kelsey Island in Branford. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Fitch Prokop; his daughters, Ann Prokop, Margaret Fiedler, Dorothy Prokop & Leticia Garcia Guerra; his sons, Stephen and Robert Prokop and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Leslie J. Prokop, Jr and his brother Julius Prokop. Leslie's lifetime career was as a Manufacturing Engineer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 21st at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Becket Church, 435 North Brooksvale Rd., Cheshire and may stay for a reception with his family in the parish center after the Mass. Burial will be held privately. Contributions in Leslie's memory may be made to St. Francis School, 423 Ferry St., New Haven, CT 06513. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
