Guestbook

  1. Dear Jo – On behalf of me and my family our deepest sympathies to you on the death of your dear sister, Lillian. Where have the years gone? My fondesst memories are of you and your family: your mother making my Easter & Christmas outfits, Lillian fitting me for new shoes and wonderful dinners and holidays spent together. She will be missed.

  2. Dear Jo, My heart goes out to you. I know how close Lil and you were. Mom and I send our deepest regrets that Lil is gone.

  3. Dear Jo, Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Some of my fondest memories are of going to get new shoes and the attention and caring both of you showed to everyone. I even took my children to you for their shoes. My Mom also shared wonderful lifetime memories with both of you. May God bless you and keep your memories to help you through this time. Our love to you– Cindy– and the rest of the Crosby family.

  4. Jo, I am so sorry for your loss. I have such wonderful memories of you and Lillian and all our fabulous Easters together. I look forward to coming with my mom to visit you. I am thinking of you during this difficult time. xoxo Abby

  5. Lillian, we loved you! Always smiling, always ready with a funny story or remembrance. My parents started the Centerville Boot Shop with the Rosingannnas when they first came to Hamden. My sisters and I always had our shoes fitted by Lillian when we were young. Lillian always recommended the simple black patent leather shoes for us–and for school, the red oxfords and for summer, the white Mary Janes. We loved stopping by whenever we walked to Centerville. Jo, how you will miss her–but what a lifetime of wonderful memories you have. Love to you from all the Potts family who will forever miss Lil and her special mud pie.

  6. Will always remember Lillian with the help of her sister, Jo, at the Centerville shoe store. Both of you gave my children such good care and kindness when selecting their shoes. My deepest condolences to Jo. Kathy DePodesta

  7. Dearest Jo: My memories are of your wonderful family … I can still see your mother standing outside of the Centerville Boot Shop to greet us as we walked by on our way to and from Centerville School. And of course of buying our school shoes there from you and Lillian. Then there are all those holidays that our families shared. So glad that Eve and I stopped by on Good Friday and were able to have a lively conversation with you and Lillian. Thinking about you … Marion

  8. What wonderful childhood memories I have of the Centerville Boot Shop with the Rosingannnas, as well as all those wonderful Easters my family would celebrate with you and Lillian. You both have always been a very important part of our family. We will miss Lillian and will be thinking of you in this difficult time.

  9. What wonderful memories we all have. Lil will truly be missed as one of my best friends who I shared a lot of laughs and good times with.
