Linda Jean Marcantonio, 60, longtime resident of Meriden, passed away on June 28, 2016 after a short illness. Born in Kingston, PA on October 14, 1955 to Jean Krommes Delinsky & the late Edward Delinsky. Linda will be remembered by her children, Matthew Marcantonio of Meriden & Erica Marcantonio Meier and husband David of Trumbull; grandchildren, Nathan & Britani Marcantonio; siblings, Diane Kolman of Northborough, MA & Glenn Delinsky of Sarasota Beach, FL; and her niece & nephew, Ashley Casey & Glenn Delinsky, Jr. As such a selfless and caring individual, Linda was known for putting the needs of others before her own and always giving back to her community. Despite this, Linda still managed to make time for games of darts with the DAV and always enjoyed a good bowling match. She appreciated the beauty of autumn and found pleasure in simple things. Above all, Linda lived for her children and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Friends are invited to visit with her family on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave, Meriden followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00p.m. Burial will be private.

  1. May God send the comforter to the family at their time of sorrow. I didn’t know Linda well but each time I saw her she was friendly and cooperative. Always trying to help, a real sweet lady. A lovely soul has gone home. I pray your strength in the Lord. Rest in Paradise, Linda.

  2. Erica and Matthew, I’m so sorry to hear about your mothers passing. She was a wonderful woman and friend. She had so much compassion for others and one thing that she was very firm about was her family. Her family was always her main focus. I’m going to miss our long talks at night but I’ll never forget her gentle voice. Once again, my condolences to your family.
