Loretha Ellison

MERIDEN - Loretha Ellison, 51, of 33 Prescott St., died Monday, May 10, 2004 after a brief illness at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born in Johnsonville, SC,June 3, 1952, she was the daughter of the late John and Leila Curry Ellison. She was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Meriden and had been employed as an inspector at Pratt & Whitney in Middletown. She is survived by two daughters, Tametha L. Williams and Tashemia Monique Ellison, both of Meriden; a son, David Ellison of Meriden; five brothers, John Ellison, Jr. of Middletown, James Ellison, Lonnie Ellison, Ronnie Ellison and Randy Ellison, all of Meriden; three sisters, Lizzie Ellison and Leila Drain, both of Meriden and Jettie Brackett of Middletown; her fiance, Louis Rivera of Meriden; two stepchildren, Junita Vargas and Jahira Vargas, both of Meriden; several nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by a sister, Juanita Ellison; a brother, J. C. Ellison and a nephew, Charles Drain, Jr. The funeral will be held Friday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at Mount Hebron Baptist Church, 84 Franklin St., Meriden. The Rev. Willie J. Young will officiate.
