Lorraine Costello O'Donnell, 87, passed away peacefully Dec. 23, 2005 at CT Hospice in Branford. She was born in New Haven Aug. 26, 1918, a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Fallestich Costello. She is survived by her daughters Diane and husband Richard Wilson of Naugatuck, CT and Sue (Benson) O'Donnell of Southbury, CT. Lorraine was a loving grandmother to Michael and Kathy Wilson, Dorie LaFlamme, Aimee Guerrera and Randy Benson and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters Veronica Henninger of Branford, CT, Rita Girard of North Haven, CT and Genevieve Moser of Southbury, CT. Lorraine was predeceased by her former husband Francis O'Donnell and her brother Wilson Costello. She was a communicant of St. John Vianney in West Haven, a member of the Italian American Women's Auxillary, the CT Assoc. of Round Dance Teachers, and a member of several Square Dance clubs. She was a long time line dance teacher in many of the New Haven area senior centers as well as in the valley and Southbury. She lived to dance and her hobby was tap dancing with the Blossom Tappers. Her other interests included writing Round Dances and Line Dances, sewing and gardening. Her dream was to publish a book of all her dances. A Memorial Service will be held on Thur., Dec. 29 at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven at 7 PM. Friends and family may call from 5 until the end of the service. Contributions may be made to CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405 or to a scholarship fund being set up in her name for West Haven High School.
