Lorraine (Chambrelli) D'Errico, age 87, of Hamden, passed away January 9, 2019 at Elim Park in Cheshire. She was the widow of Joseph John D'Errico. Born in New Haven on July 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence & Margaret (DeGale) Chambrelli. She is survived by her daughter Ann L. D'Errico of Hamden, and her son Angelo J. D'Errico and his wife Michele of Cheshire; grandchildren Alexa and Joseph D'Errico of Cheshire, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James Chambrelli. A resident of Hamden for most of her life, she started her career as a bookkeeper for New Haven Tobacco, and was later a cashier for many years at the Hamden Shop-Rite and Hamden Stop & Shop. Her family would like to thank the staff at Elim Park for the exceptional care and compassion she received in her time of need. Funeral from Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden Saturday at 9:00 a.m., followed by her Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may also visit with her family on Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden. Contributions in Lorraine's memory may be sent to the Elim Park Resident Benevolence Fund, 140 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire, CT 06410.
