Lorraine Scarpello Ballantyne, age 70, of Hamden passed away on August 10, 2024 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born in Norwalk, CT on February 26, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ceil (Derman) Scarpello. Lorraine is survived by her husband Larry Ballantyne; her sister Lisa Pianka & her husband Andrew of Oxford; her brother Frank Scarpello & his wife Cathy of Monroe; nieces Emily Jewett of Sandy Hook and Alyssh Scarpello of Bethel; and nephews Frankie Scarpello of Milford, John Hogerheide & his wife Cristina of San Antonio TX, and Joseph Hogerheide & Tiffany of Wilmington, NC. Lorraine worked for the Union Trust Bank, now the Wells Fargo Bank, for 35 years, retiring as a Senior Vice-President. She grew up in Norwalk and graduated from the Norwalk High School. She had lived the past 40 years in Hamden.
Funeral Service and Burial will be private with her family. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the North Haven Congregational Church, 28 Church Street, North Haven.
