Louis Arthur Autuori Jr., 77, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2015 at Silver Springs Care Center in Meriden. He was born on December 10, 1937 in Bridgeport the son of the late Louis and Gertrude (Morris) Autuori and was the oldest of 3 siblings. Louis joined the United States Army and served his country admirably as a member of the Military Police. Soon after his Army duty, Louis attended Concordia College in Bronxville, New York. Following his studies Louis began a successful career in banking, where he enjoyed tenure as the Vice President of the Connecticut National Bank. Shortly thereafter, Louis began his new career as an addiction and recovery specialist as Deputy Director of Guenster Rehabilitation Center in Bridgeport. Louis is survived by his children, Louis Arthur Autuori III and Jonathan Michael Autuori, both of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; his brothers Ellwood Autuori, of Wilton Manors, Florida, and Clinton Peterson Sr. of Apex, North Carolina; his nieces Carol Ledman, of Cheshire and Sheila Peterson Domingos, of Naperville, Illinois; and his nephew, Clinton Peterson Jr. of Apex, North Carolina. A graveside service with Military Honors will take place in Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley Street, Bridgeport at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Louis Arthur Autuori Jr. Pastor Eric A. Wismer will officiate the ceremony.
