Louise Pospesil Miller

Louise Pospesil Miller, 100, formerly of West Haven, passed away at the Arden House in Hamden on June 16, 2015. Wife of the late John A. Miller, Sr. Born in New Haven on December 4, 1914 to the late William and Marie Hampl Pospesil. She had worked in the Gun Service Dept. of Marlin Firearms. She was an active member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in West Haven, and formerly of All Saints Chapel in New Haven. Beloved mother of Lorraine (Andrew) Centi, John (Anna Mary) Miller, & Lois Dunphy. Grandmother of John(Noelle), Heather, & Maria Centi, David (Jennifer) & Jeffrey Miller, Michael (Erin) & Jeanine Dunphy. Great-grandmother of Louis & Emily Centi, Jack & Leo Miller, and Abbie, Fiona, & Michael Dunphy, III. Mother-in-law of Michael E. Dunphy. Predeceased by her sisters; Mildred Prindle, Marie 'Mamie' Cook, Carolyn Griesing, Anna Denninger, Josephine Crossland, & Bertha Miller, and brothers; Arthur, Edward Sr., & Charles Pospesil & Stanley Clark. The family wishes to thank the nurses, aides, and staff of the Arden House, and the staff of Life Choice Hospice Care. Friends may visit with Louise's family on Friday, June 19 from 5-8 PM at the BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20 at 10 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Please meet directly at the church. Burial to follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
