Lucille D. Connolly

Lucille D. Connolly, age 91, of Hamden passed away at her home on March 7, 2018. Lucille was born to Michael and Rose D’Addetta on July 31, 1926. She was the loving wife of the late John L. Connolly. She is survived by her children; Albert Connolly of Concord, NH, Mary (Robert) Hayden of Rockmart, GA, Laura Connolly of Hamden, and James (Charlene) Connolly, her grandchildren; Leah and Emma Connolly of Madison, CT, and her sister, Ann Sasso of Florida. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony “Newt” D’Addetta, formerly of Northford, CT. Lucille graduated from West Haven High School, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and her Master of Science degree from Central Connecticut State College. She taught at Lyman Hall High School and retired from SNET as a Manager of Customer Service Centers. After her retirement, Lucille volunteered at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was a communicant of the Church of the Ascension and a member of the Women’s Club. Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 12th at 10:15 AM from Beecher & Bennett, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, with her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in the Ascension Campus of Christ the Bread of Life Parish, 1040 Dunbar Hill Road, Hamden. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamden. Friends may also visit with her family at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
