Luella Robinson Locke
Luella Robinson Locke, 91, of Cheshire, died on October 28, 2010 after a brief illness. She was the widow of Gerald Hawley Locke and a life long resident of Hamden before moving to Elim Park. Born in Athol, MA on March 9, 1919 the daughter of the late Herman and Helen Eddy Robinson, Luella was a graduate of the Springfield Hospital Graduate School of Nursing and an active member and deacon of the Whitneyville Congregational Church. Her passion in life was her collection of antiques, family history, and the English language. Most important was her love of family and her many friends. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Papa and her husband Joseph of Hamden, Judith Lorenzo and her husband Robert of Marietta, GA; son, Jeffrey Locke and his wife Lori-Ann of West Haven; beloved grandchildren, Anthony Papa, Timothy Harrigan, Heather Biggar, Sarah, Thomas, and Andrew Locke, and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by two brothers, Hilton and Richard Robinson A Memorial Service will be held at Elim Park, 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire, on Monday, November 1st at 10 a.m. in the Christ Chapel.
