Lydia E. Ceritto

Meriden- Lydia E. Ceritto, 95, of Meriden passed away February 2, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born May 30, 1922; a daughter of the late Albert and Agusta Wilk Hoff, and was a longtime Meriden resident, prior to spending the last several years in Middletown. She had been employed at the Curtis Home as a healthcare aid, A.G.C. of South Meriden as a factory worker, and was a voluntary Red Cross Nurse. Lydia was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, which she always enjoyed. She also enjoyed her family, and trips to the casino. Mother of Judith (William) Rudolph of Meriden, Linda (Michael) Stacey of Westhampton, MA, Bonnie (Joseph) DeAngelo of Enfield, and Beverly (David) Schiopucie of Naugatuck. Sister of Dorothy Jarboe of Dayville, Howard Hoff of Cape Coral, FL, and the late Ruth Oros, Eleanor Oberempt, Robert and Albert Hoff. Lydia is survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also predeceased by her grandson Richard Houle and her sister-in-law Helen Hoff. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8, at 10 am in the Zion Lutheran Church, Wallingford. Friends may visit with her family on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
