In New Haven, June 22, 2008 Margaret 'Marge' Keczan Jacobs, 92 of Hamden. Mother of Karen O'Donnell and her husband Jack of Hamden, Janet Jacobs and her husband John T. Barrett of Winchester, MA, and Richard A. Jacobs and his wife Maria Suma of Derry, NH; sister of Helen Tankovich of Boynton Beach, FL and the late Irene Brown; grandmother of Sam Morley, Jake, Hank and Maggie O'Donnell and Taylor Barrett. Also survived by a niece and nephew Danette and Danny Brown. In addition to her sister, Marge was predeceased by her former husband, Paul Jacobs. A daughter of the late Alexander and Sophia Gaal Keczan, Marge was born in Columbus, OH on February 7, 1916. A Hamden resident since 1960, she volunteered for MADD and donated knitted caps for preemies at YNHH. She touched many lives and she will be missed. A celebration of her life will be held on July 12, 2008 at 4 PM at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
