Margaret F. (Peggy) Beck, beloved wife of Herbert G. Beck of Hamden, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at her home. She was born in New Haven October 5, 1920, daughter of the late Thomas and Elsie Waldron Finnigan. Mrs. Beck was a graduate of the former Stone Business Academy, New Haven. She was secretary to the President of Modern Equipment in New Haven for seven years prior to her marriage to Mr. Beck on October 14, 1944. They were residents of Guilford in 1946 then moved to North Branford in 1952 and to Hamden in 1963. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two loving sons, James (Tim) Eyre Beck and Carl Frederick Beck, both of Hamden, a brother, Frederick T. Finnigan of Fullerton, CA, two nieces, Nancy Matthies and Fanny Forsburg and a nephew, Dr. Ira G. Hubbell. Also survived by a lifelong and dear friend, Marian McGovern Dickey of Wallingford. Funeral service and interment in Centerville Cemetery will be private. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
