Margaret “Peggy” Lee Jenkins Masse Colby, age 83, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Manchester, unexpectedly passed away on August 17, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Ed Colby for 30 years. Born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania on March 23, 1938 to the late Arthur and Nell Jenkins, Peggy enjoyed reading, writing, shopping, spoiling her family, happy hour, and most recently Netflix and text messaging. She had a bright personality, an unforgettable quick-witted sense of humor, and a love for all people, especially babies. She lit up every room with her bright ocean blue eyes.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her three children and their spouses, Sharon & Matthew Barone of Wethersfield, Susan & Robert Cass of Sturbridge, MA, and William & Holly Masse of Manchester; her seven grandchildren who were the lights of her life, Courtney Norton & her husband James, Jaimie Lee Moran, Alyssa DeLuca & her husband Rico, Troy Moran, Nick Barone, Rowan Masse, and Easton Masse; and her two newest treasures, great-grandchildren Vivian Leigh DeLuca and Johnny Troy Norton, as well as her best friend, Mary Lou “Corkie” Small of Manchester, and other countless wonderful friends whom she deeply cherished.
We will forever miss our biggest cheerleader and number one fan.
Services will be privately held at the convenience of her family. To honor her love of children, donations in Peggy’s memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 31805, or given online at www.stjude.org.
