In New Haven, June 3,2001, Marie Lewis Rowland 84, wife of the late Leonard M. Rowland. She was born in New Haven, Nov. 27, 1916, daughter of the late William and Katherine Russell Lewis. Mother of Patricia Marie Hopkins of New Haven and Leonard Russell Rowland of Hamden, grandmother of David Leonard Rowland and Katherine Elizabeth Hopkins, great grandmother of Barbara Dale and Vanessa Alice Rowland. Mrs. Rowland was a member of the Catholic Womans Association. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden,Thurs. June 7 at 8:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita Chuch at 9 A.M. Friends may call Wed. from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.
