Marie Girolomo

Marie Girolomo, age 97, of Hamden, passed away at her home on March 10, 2016. Born in New Haven on April 13, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Anthony & Spiraza Pedicini. Marie was the widow of Vito Girolomo. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Baltayan & her husband Arthur of New Haven; her sons, Harry Girolomo & his wife Beverly of Hamden and Richard Girolomo & his wife Ruth of Cheshire; grandchildren David (Nicole) Girolomo, Kimberly Pepe and Christine (Billy) Reilly; 4 great-grandchildren; her cousin Jose Mosco; her close longtime friends Briggie Chiaraluce and Lucille Massanti, and her 2 caretakers Carmen & Elsada. A resident of Hamden most of her life, she always enjoyed her Thursday Night Club Girls. She was formerly employed at Winchester Repeating Arms. Friends may visit with her family on Monday, March 14th, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, and may attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
