Marjorie Alice Gay

Marjorie Alice Gay of Meriden, passed away October 16, 2011 in the Masonic Healthcare Center after a brief illness. She was born on October 18, 1920 in Lyndonville, VT a daughter of the late Harry J. and Nellie Booth Lampman. She married Floyd A. Gay on February 22, 1958 and enjoyed 32 years of marriage until his death in 1990. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, its Friendship Group and she sang in the choir. She worked at several area factories and retired from AGC. Inc. She is survived by her son Floyd T. Gay with whom she resided, a sister Pearl Webster of Hyde Park, VT, her daughter in law Alleane Mason of Wallingford, and her beloved grandchildren Sherri Mason Blaisdell and her husband Charles, George Mason, Jr., and Allen Mason. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, Carol, Christian, Kelly, Christopher, Bryce, Zachary and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son George Mason, a sister Dorothy Kenneson, and 2 brothers Irving and George Lampman. Relatives and friends may visit with her family on Wednesday October 19, from 4-7 p.m. at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Interment in Westlook Cemetery, Glover VT on Saturday Oct. 22. at 12 p.m.
