In Branford, November 15, 2006, Martha Bynum Revelle Stubbs of Jesswig Drive, Hamden. Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, she is survived by her sister Juliette Revelle Moore and brother-in-law Clayton Moore, Jr. of Winston-Salem. Surviving children include Campbell L. "Larry" Stubbs, III and wife Ines of Angier, NC, Martha Bynum "Marty" Stubbs of Hamden and Willard Bacon "Will" Stubbs of Norfolk, VA. She was the proud grandmother of Campbell L. Stubbs, IV, Merrill Emma Stubbs, Jacqueline Hawkins Stubbs and Jillian Hoyt Stubbs, all of Angier, NC. She was formerly married to Campbell L. Stubbs, II of Hamden. Martha attended the Women's College of the University of North Carolina, now UNC-Greensboro, and later became a Navy wife. She came to CT in 1958 and had lived in Hamden since 1964. She was a longtime office manager for Custom Products Corp., of North Haven and an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast. Her true love was baseball, and New York Teams ruled. Although downhearted by the defeat of her beloved Mets, she eagerly looked forward to spring training! No funeral is planned, per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.

  4. To The Stubbs Family, to Larry, Marty and Will, Please forgive my tardiness in sending you sincerest condolences on behalf of myself and my family. I first met your mother as a midshipman on RAINBEAU, and was fortunate enough to be able to renew her aquaintance while stationed in Newport at SWOS in the mid 1990’s. She and Will and I shared a spirited brunch/dinner outing from time to time during that tour, each marked by her sparkling wit and candor. I am honored to have known her.
