MERIDEN-Martin Phillip Collette, 57, of 702 Murdock Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001 at Yale New-Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Ann Smith Collette. He was born in New Haven Oct. 23, 1943, the son of Norma McElrath Collette of Santa Rosa, CA and the late Elmer Collette. He was employed as a custodian at the Casimir Pulaski School. Mr. Collette was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, who is now at home in heaven with his Savior Jesus. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah and Stephen Erickson of Meriden and Laura Collette of Meriden; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sandy and Tom Driggers of Windsor, CA, Bonnie and Rich Thomas of Sebastopol, CA and Lisa Collette of Santa Rosa, CA; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Pam Collette of Windsor, CA; four grandchildren, Amanda, Kyle, Mikayla and Joshua of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
