Mrs. Mary B. Hague, 93, formerly of Willard St., Hamden, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Masonicare Hospice. She was the widow of John Hague, Sr; mother of Jack Hague & his wife Sandra of Cheshire and Jo-Ann Barone & her husband Anthony of Wallingford; grandmother of Tracey Romberg (Dan) and Chris Barone; great-grandmother of Olivia Romberg and sister of the late Joseph & Harriet Kirby, Kathleen Maloney and John Beecher. Mrs. Hague was born in New Haven on April 16, 1920, a daughter of the late David & Kathleen Stanford Beecher. A graduate of Commercial High, she worked for the New Haven Board of Health and was secretary for the Wallingford and Hamden Board of Educations. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and a member of St. Stephen's Seniors, where she enjoyed bingo, bowling and planning trips to the casinos and dinner theaters. She also enjoyed traveling with her family to Maine, Cape Cod, Florida and Las Vegas. Mrs. Hague's family would like to thank all of her caregivers for their services and compassion during her time of need. Friends may visit with her family on Wednesday, Nov. 6th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden and may attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Her interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery. Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
