Hamden - Mary L. Worstell, 101, wife of the late William P. Worstell, formerly of Whitney Ave., Hamden passed away February 3, 2005 in the Arden House Harborside Healthcare after a brief illness. She was born in Allegheny, PA, December 17, 1903, a daughter of the late Louis and Philomina Morico Fappiano and had lived in Hamden most of her life. She was employed as a booking agent for the Metro Goldwyn Mayer (M-G-M) Studios for many years, and was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Mary is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN, Saturday, Feb. 5 at 8:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 a.m. Entombment in St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum.

  1. Billy, I was sorry to read about Mary\’s death. I visited her last December and the nurses said she had just celebrated her 100th birthday. I was surprised to read it was actually 101. I didn\’t visit as often after she failed to recognize me. I was at the funeral this morning and I offered up my communion for her. My condolences to you and your family. Grace
