Mary T. Papuga

PAPUGA, MARY T. In Hamden, July 5, 2008, Mary T. Papuga, formerly of Woodbine St. Hamden. Wife of the late Leslie J. Papuga. Born in New Haven on June 21, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Barbara Budvid Tautvid. A member of the Church of St. Rita Hamden, Mary had worked for the former A.C. Gilbert Co. and the former Bessie- Richey Co where she was bookeeper. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Bessie) Kennedy of Hamden and a brother, Charles Tautvid and wife Gertrude of Durham niece's, Barbara Roney and husband John of Providence, RI, Carol Roberts and husband, David of Killingworth and a nephew, Christen Tautvid of Meriden and a grand niece, Kristina Lowell. Also survived by a great grand niece, Gretta Kennedy Lowell and a sister-in-law, Julia Papuga of Branford. She was predeceased by a sister, Pauline Tautvid and a nephew, Chapman Tautvid. Funeral from BEECHER AND BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN, Wednesday July 9, 2008 at 10;30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church of St. Rita Hamden, at 11;00am. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 - 7 P.M. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
