Maude Kennedy
Maude Kennedy, age 109, passed away February 16, 2009 in San Diego , CA with her daughter Vira Kennedy Williams at her side. She was a long time resident of New Haven before moving to San Diego in 1977. She was also a long time member of the Dixwell Avenue United Church of Christ. She has many relatives and friends in the New Haven area. She was the godmother of Barbara Lanier. A memorial service will be held March 7, 2009 in San Diego at the South East Community Presbyterian Church, 210 South Euclid Ave. , San Diego , CA .

Ihave many fond memories of .Aunt Maude’-she was the mother to all she knew. She had a quick wit -always a twinkle in ner eye- she was loved by so many, yours trulyincluded. God Bless
Mrs.Kennedy was a dear friend of my grandmother Grace DelGreco for many years. I know they must be together in heaven now.

To Vira and Family, As you know, I go back many years, I remember when Aunt Maude would stay in touch with my mother while I was in service. To make sure I was doing okay. She was constantly concerned about us, as we grew up. She lived a long life and amassed a huge number of friends along the way. I know she will .REST IN PEACE. BOB BARRETT
I remember your mother, Vira, so vividly. She passed on her love of life and people to you as I know you have passed on this legacy to your children. Your mom was such a gracious person whenever I visited so energetic, so full of ideas that she actually carried to fruition. What a long life she was blessed to have, and how blessed all that knew her were.
