Maureen found peace on September 19, 2024. She was born in Meriden on November 10, 1949 to James and Rita McEvoy. She attended St. Laurent School, Maloney High School, and graduated from UCONN School of Nursing. Maureen touched many lives as a nurse. She dedicated her career to caring for adults with developmental disabilities. She worked for over 25 years at Residential Management Services and was recognized by the Department of Developmental Services as Nurse of the Year. Maureen is survived by her husband Jack, her daughters Charissa Andrade (Jason) and Leah Gionfriddo (Jim), and six grandchildren, Ethan, Charles, Ellie, Jayden, Sarah, and Brody, as well as her beloved labradoodle, Darby O’Keefe. Maureen and Jack shared a love story that started when they were teenagers. They were husband and wife and the best of friends. Maureen and Jack enjoyed traveling but also loved being at home, their cottage on Lake Amston. Maureen loved her girls, Charissa and Leah, from raising them as children to being there to support them as they grew into women and mothers themselves. The loving memories and moments of laughter they have all shared are endless.

Maureen will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile and caring nature. Maureen was predeceased by her parents, James and Rita, as well as her sister June. Services and burial will be private. Contributions in Maureen’s memory may be made to the World Wildlife Fund or Hebron Interfaith Human Services. For online condolences, please visit beecherandbennett.com.
