  1. Havent been in touch with Melanie since high school days. So sorry to see such a beautiful soul leave us so soon.

  2. I am so surprised and sorry to hear of Melanie\’s passing. I am an old friend from childhood. Melanie\’s grandparents lived one street away from my parents in Hamden and we shared many fun memories. As teenagers, after losing contact for awhile, we were reunited by mutual friends and again grew to have a bond through friendship. I had been there when her Mom was killed and through the loss of her father, the man she was just starting to get to know. Then lastly, through the devastating loss of Chris, in which we were all stopped in our tracks and were put on .hold.. It\’s hard to believe that Mel\’s gone too now. Melanie truly had a spirit like no one else. Her beautiful smile and laughter was contagious to all that were lucky to have been around her. Time and distance may\’ve stood between us, but I never forgot her sweet soul and have often wondered if she\’d found some peace and happiness. Two things she deserved so greatly. I hope the answer to that question is finally…yes. And hopefully in time, comfort can be found in the knowledge that she is now with the family she had so long been separated from. God bless.
