Monica Mary Pellegrino, 88, life long resident of New Haven, wife of the late Louis Pellegrino, passed away on July 3, 2013. Born in New Haven on September 2, 1924 to the late Pasquale and Grace Solimini Acri. Monica is survived by her brother, James Acri and his wife Jean of Prospect and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son, Louis Pellegrino, Jr; brothers, Pasquale, Jr, Anthony, and Ralph Acri. Friends are invited to join her family on Monday, July 8th at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Church, 29 Wooster Pl, New Haven, followed by a burial in All Saints Cemetery. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. my aunt monica was a most amazing woman, she took care of her son that had many challenges and never complained once, she was a beautiful woman inside and out , most importantly she loved Jesus !! i remember the last time i was able to talk with her , i had a cell phone with unlimited minutes and i would call her every sunday , i am going to miss her as she was the most inspirational woman i knew as a child and as a grown up! she is now dancing in heaven with her beloved husband , son, mom and dad and her 3 brothers tony , pat, ralph . i love you aunt monica xoxoxoxox
