Mr. Paul Francis Daren
Mr. Paul F. Daren, age 94, formerly of Hamden, passed away on February 3, 2014. Paul was born in Hamden on December 26, 1919, the son of the late Louis F. & Concetta Padovani Daren. Paul was predeceased by his wife Marjorie Mary O'Neill Daren. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and a recipient of a Purple Heart. He retired from the State of CT, where he was employed as an Elderly Housing Inspector. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3605 in Hamden, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a volunteer for over 52 years at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. He is survived by his cousins, Louise Migliore of New Haven, Sante & Charles Andreoli both of Hamden & Carol Fatone of East Haven; his nieces Patricia Esposito (husband Peter) of Seymour, Eileen O'Neill of Hamden and nephews Brian O'Neill of Wallingford & John O'Neill of Florida. Friends may visit with his family on Thursday morning, Feb. 6th from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden and may attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamden. Contributions in Paul's memory may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
I am sorry that I was unable to come and pay my respects for my Uncle Paul. Unfortunately, a leaking pipe, requiring attention, is preventing me from attending. I will always remember my going to the Glenwood with Uncle Paul and the times I spent with him and also with his wife and my Aunt Marge. May he be at peace with her and the rest of the family.
