Mrs. Charlotte Mary Goulet, wife of Clement Roy Goulet, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home in Prospect. Born November 9, 1928 in New Haven, CT to the late Francis Henry Penor and Charlotte Mary Dohna- Penor. She graduated from St. Francis School in New Haven and worked for several years at Alling Rubber Company. After raising her family she worked as a Sales Associate for Arthur's Clothing in Hamden and then as a Secretary/ Receptionist for 12 years at Whitney Center in Hamden, where she had left many friends and co-workers. Besides her husband of 50 years she leaves behind her son, Karl Pokrop and his wife Cindy, Maureen Ribortella and her husband, John and Craig Goulet and his wife, Beth. Charlotte also leaves behind her 2 adoring granddaughters; Bryanna Pokrop and Jacalyn Goulet, 5 Loving Grandsons (along with their wives); Justin, Toby, Elijah, Brandon and Patrick Pokrop, 10 doting great grandchildren, a step grandson and his children; Steven Ribortella, her sister- in law, Claudette Volage and her husband, Robert, and several nieces and nephews. Charlotte was predeceased by her sisters, Alice Cromwell and Dorothy La Marche. Charlotte's pride and joy was all of her family. Not that long ago she made sure the littlest of her 'new babies' had a crochet blanket. She took great pleasure on staying busy with sewing, crocheting and outdoor chores and particularly enjoyed working on her many beautiful gardens. Funeral from Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden on Saturday at 9:15 AM, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St Thomas Becket Church, 435 North Brooksvale RD, Cheshire. Friends may also visit with her family at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will take place in St. Bridget Cemetery, Cheshire.
