Natalie Irene Mercer, 75, of East Haven, wife of the late Richard Mercer, passed away at CT Hospice on August 10, 2009. She was born in Danforth, ME on November 14, 1933 to the late Perley Carr and Bertha Graham Carr of Danforth, ME. Besides her mother, Natalie leaves her children, Joan Denigris and her husband Victor of Cape Coral, FL, Cindy Mont of Willimantic, Susan Darveau and her husband Raymond of Millinocket, ME, Paul Mercer of East Haven, and Michael Mercer and his wife Natividad of East Haven, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and four siblings. She is predeceased by a son, Mark Joseph Mercer. Natalie grew up in Maine where she met her husband. After getting married they moved to New Haven to raise their family. For the last 15 years she has lived in East Haven. Natalie was a full time homemaker and also worked part-time as a Home Health Aid. Time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, was always cherished. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, August 14th from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 4 p.m. in BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, . Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Natalie's memory may be sent to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
