Nina Bonanno Caruso

NINA CARUSO, In Middletown, July 19, 2002, Nina Bonanno Caruso formerly of Whitney Ave., Hamden, wife of the late Joseph J. Caruso. Born in New Haven, Aug. 29, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Lupino Bonanno. Mrs. Caruso had worked as a seamstress and a bookkeeper at the former Woolworth's in New Haven. She was a resident of Hamden for 45 years and she was a parishioner of St. Rita's Church before moving to Middletown 7 years ago to live with her daughter. Mrs. Caruso is survived by a daughter, Paula J. Caruso of Middletown, a son, William J. Caruso of Portland, a brother, Vito Bonanno of Arlington, VA and two granddaughters, Kayl Nicole and Deidra Caruso of Portland. She was predeased by 2 brothers, Rosario and Leonardo Bonanno. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN, Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rita Church at 10 A.M. Friends may call Monday from 5 - 9 P.M. Burial will be in All Saint's Cemetery.
