Norma M. Griffith, 90, of Wallingford, passed away on November 26, 2016 at Masonicare. She was the beloved wife of Don Griffith for 71 years. Norma was born in Berlin, CT on July 23, 1926 to the late Joseph and Theresa Achillie Mazzali. She was a graduate of Berlin High School where she was the recipient of the Becker Award. She later went on to work for Stanley Tool Co., Skinner Chuck, Wee Burn Country Club, and Hooper Ratings. Norma and Don loved to travel together. They enjoyed traveling and skiing their way through Europe. They traveled together to Fareast Asia including Japan, China, Singapore, and Thailand. Norma was always very active and athletic. She enjoyed duck pin bowling, tennis, golf, fishing, boating, downhill skiing and ballroom dancing. Norma liked music, the Red Sox and the Patriots. She loved gardening, especially roses. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Wallingford. Along with her husband Don, Norma is survived by her son Bruce Griffith, his wife Johanne and their dog Cote'; daughter Deborah Stroh and her husband Kurt; grandchildren Aarron Stuart, Rachael Fairbank, and Oken and Emmett Stroh; great grandchildren Rowan and Chloe Stuart, Brooke Hamel, Sadie Fairbank, and Evie Stroh. Norma's grandchildren and great grandchildren were her passion and the most important part of her life. Her family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Masonicare Hospice for the compassionate care she received during her final days. Funeral services for Norma will be private.
