Olga V. Parente, 95, wife of the late A. Robert Parente, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2016 at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford. Olga was born in New Haven to the late Biagio and Adelaide Labanara Venditti. She attended New Haven schools. Upon graduation from Larson Junior College (Quinnipiac University), Olga worked as a bookkeeper for many years before she dedicated herself full time to her family. She was a beloved wife, patient and devoted mother, and loving and supportive grandmother. She was a life-long member of the Catholic Charity League and a Girl Scout Leader. Her interests included baking, crocheting, needlepoint, and UConn Women's Basketball. Olga is survived by her daughters, Jean P. Ulrich (Eldon) of Madison, WI and Roberta A. Parente (Roger Bone) of Bridgewater, NJ, and four granddaughters, Emily and Melanie Ulrich and Sara and Michelle Bone. She is also survived by her nephew, John J. Leary (Suzanne) of Hamden and niece, Linda Archick (Bill) of Hamden and their families. She was predeceased by sisters, Jean V. Leary and Letitia C. Venditti, both of New Haven. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden Friday morning, July 22, at 10:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 11 am. Friends may visit with her family Friday morning from 9 to 10:30 at the funeral home. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Masonic Charity Foundation - Health Center, 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford, CT 06492. The family wishes to acknowledge the dedicated and supportive care provided by the 3 Central staff of Masonicare.
