MERIDEN - Oscar M. Ramos, 72, of 39 Crown St. Ext., died Monday, April 21, 2003, at his residence. He was the husband of Cecilia Roman Ramos. Born in Puerto Rico, Oct. 10, 1930, he was the son of the late Justino and Felicita Morales Ramos and was a high school graduate. He retired as a machinist from the former Insilco Corporation and was later employed at AGC in South Meriden. He was a parishoner of St. Rose Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Michael Vecchitto of Meriden; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Ana Ramos of Southington; five grandchildren, Rachel Vecchitto and Daniel Vecchitto, both of Meriden, Johana and her husband, Peter Vontell of Bristol, Emmanuel Ramos and Jaalah Ramos, both of Southington; and a sister, Ana Ramos. He was predeceased by four brothers, Ramon Ramos, Alipio Ramos, Andres Ramos and Tino Ramos, and a sister Modesta Ramos. The funeral will be Thursday, April 24, at 9:15 a.m from the BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden and at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Isaac Calichicco. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
