MERIDEN - Owen F. Moran, 94, dedicated husband and father passed away at home on Monday, March 19, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Alice Dutton Moran and they had been married for 65 years. Born in Meriden on Sept. 8, 1912, he was the son of the late Peter F. and Mathilda (Boehm) Moran. He had been employed as a business advertising salesman at Brown & Bigelow. Owen enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a lifetime member of the Wallingford Rod & Gun Club. He was a member of Center Congregational Church, Meriden. He is survived by three daughters, Nancy Moran of Weymouth, MA, Patricia Gelinas of Brimfield, MA and Pamela Moran and spouse, Barbara Sergio of Bristol; three sons, Robert Moran of Southington, Jeffrey Moran of Meriden and Barry Moran of Middlefield; a sister, Evelyn Tracy of Meriden; four grandchildren, Sheila Partlow of Putnam, Melissa Cotter of Shrewsbury, MA, Michelle Gelinas of Oxford, MA and Jennifer Moran of Plainville; five great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m.at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. A service will then be held at 11 a.m. at the Center Congregational Church, 474 Broad St., Meriden. The Rev. George H. True will officiate. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
