Guestbook

  1. Patti was a wonderful educator who was dedicated to nurturing her students and encouraging them to achieve high standards. It was a pleasure to work and learn from her. Not only was she a colleague but also a friend. She will be missed.

  2. Patty was a wonderful caring cousin. Remember many holidays with all the cousins. One in particular she and Bonnie had us sing “Good Night Far We’ll “from Sound of Music for everyone.

  3. Dearest Patti,
I’ve been told by many about how you loved to come to our house to “babysit” for me. When you and I would reminisce about the good ole days you would always give me the biggest smile and tell me how much you loved it -I’m sure I did too!! Thank you. You were destined to become a cherished teacher to so many lucky children.
You and Pete raised beautiful children and if you could love anyone more it was your Grandchildren. You both beam when you talk about them.
When you all started having “Club” on Monday nights I felt so grown up to be included. At the same time each week the hostess would “put on the tea water and cut the Entenmann’s or something home baked.” Everyone was home in time for the news and get to sleep early. What a wonderful way for everyone to stay close!
I loved our little trips to the casino after you retired. I was so impressed watching you play – you were really good! And we’re so kind and generous to the staff. I didn’t gamble and you felt so badly even though I “just don’t gamble” – but I knew how much you liked it so we always had a good time. One time you MADE me take some chips and try. In short order the money was gone but you no longer had to feel guilty. Good memories.
My wish is that you are healthy and happy and are enjoying reconnecting with those who went before
    you.
    All my love,
    Little Marilyn

  4. Stephanie and family, my sincerest condolences for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers <3

  5. I have so many vivid and fond memories of my friend , Patti…..during the summer we would go sailing on the Sound…..while we bobbed around she and i loved to sing song by Peter, Paul and Mary……..she had a much better voice……..i will always remember her first car, a black VW Bug….she so loved that car

  6. Stephanie and family my most sincere condolence. Your mom was a wonderful person always smiling and joking. We car pooled with you kids. I remember the sleep overs, parties and hanging out. You went from one house to another. She will be in my prayers.
    Judy Saslafsky

  7. Dear Alli,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I have great memories of her from when we were kids, and I would come over to your house. I remember running up the stairs and playing in the bedrooms of your sweet house on the hill. I am thinking of you and sending a lot of love.
    Love,
    Katie (Furuno) Robbin

  8. My son had “Mrs. Hinchliff” in fourth grade. She was an inspiring educator and role model. She challenged her students to think and write beyond the basic assignments. She nurtured their interests and encouraged their curiosity. Technology in the classroom was in its infancy; she generated enthusiasm for the computer and allowed students to pursue additional classroom programs.

    • P.S. from Deb Shaffery:
My condolences to Patti’s family and friends. She will be remembered in thought and prayer.

  9. To Valerie and family,

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear sister Patti. I remember her fondly. I know how close you all are and that she will be greatly missed.

    Deb Johnson
