Peter David Sireno

WALLINGFORD-Peter David Sireno, Sr., 59, of 60 Apple Tree Lane, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, in Westerly, Rhode Island. He was the husband of Kary Fontaine Sireno. He was born in Meriden Oct. 18, 1941, the son of the late Rocco D. and Alice Henderson Sireno. He was employed for twenty-five years at the Travelers Insurance Company and more recently as a route driver for A.C. Delco Connecticut Warehouse in North Haven. Mr. Sireno was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church and was a member for twenty years of St. Mary's Men's Club. He was also active in the American Legion baseball program for several years. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Peter D. and Linda Sireno, Jr. of Meriden; a daughter, Donna L. DeStefano of Meriden; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Barbara Sireno of Cheshire; two grandchildren, Derek and Kevin DeStefano of Meriden; a niece and two nephews. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at 10 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Robert J. Broesler will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
