Peter TC Cheng
Peter TC Cheng, 88, of Orange, Connecticut, passed away January 8, 2018 after a brief illness. He is survived by wife Caroline Fong-Cheng, son Pierson, daughter-in-law Eileen and grandchildren Hannah, Josiah, and Ethan Cheng. Peter, a follower of Christ, was a resident of Orange for over 40 years, as well as the owner and chef of Peter Cheng's China Garden in New Haven. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Monday, January 15, 2018 in the chapel of the Gateway Christian Fellowship, 129 Bull Hill Lane, West Haven from 9-10 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery, Woodbridge. I had hoped to make the service, but was unable. I knew Peter for many years at the Restaurant and helped him out from time to time. I also met with him several times regarding selling the restaurant. He was such a delightful man and I enjoyed spending time with him in his kitchen. Always sharing his words of wisdom and was always so kind. God bless all of you and my prayers are with you.
