Philip L. Chasse, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Miller Memorial in Meriden. He was the loving husband of the late Barbara White Chasse. Philip was born in St. Agatha, ME on February 8, 1929 son of the late Ernest and Eva Michaud Chasse. He worked for 41 years and retired from the American Cyanamid Co. Philip was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Boston Red Sox. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing cards. Philip is survived by his children Donna Scott (Ron), Allen Chasse (Sue), Gail Chasse, Robin Merola (Dominic); seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and brothers Raymond (Fern), Ronald (Sharon) and David (MaryEllen) Chasse. He was predeceased by his children Kim Wrublevski, and Gary and Philip Chasse; grandson Timothy Grainger; sisters Cecil Rafford and Theresa Casey; and brothers Clarence, Gilbert, Richard and Ernest Jr. Chasse. Funeral services for Philip will begin on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, Meriden. Burial will be held privately at a later date. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Philip’s family on Friday, July 7 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
