Suddenly in Hamden, January 11, 2001. Phyllis Dockx McHenry of 16 Mather St., Hamden. Mother of Maryellen McHenry of Hanover, MD and Michael McHenry of Hope, ME. Sister of Russell E. Dockx of ME. Also survived by 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Katie McHenry of Hope,ME. Predeceased by a brother Joseph Dockx. She was born in New Haven, May 23, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph and Madelyn Murray Dockx. Mrs McHenry held a number of positions in the city of Hamden she was the Executive Secretary to the Mayor and Administrative Assistant, Human Services Coordinator and Economic Development Director and most recently instrumental in establishing Partnerships Adult Day Care for the frail and elderly in Hamden. Funeral Service at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Monday Evening Jan. 15 at 6:00 O'Clock. Friends may call Monday from 4:00pm. until the time of Service.
