Phyllis J. Allen Hiscock, of Bethany, formerly of Woodbridge, passed away on October 9, 2012 in the Hospital of St. Raphael. Phyllis was born in Ludlow, MA on December 12, 1915, a daughter of the late Walter & Ellen MacFarlane Allen. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Harley J. Hiscock; her daughters Lynne E. Dow of Branford and Shelley Dering of Boca Raton, Florida; her son Harley J. Hiscock, Jr and his wife Diane of Woodbridge; grandchildren Jeffrey S. Dow, Jennifer D. Olsen, Christopher H. Dering, Michael J. Dering, Harley J. Hiscock, III and Thomas S. Hiscock and 5 great grandchildren. Phyllis is also predeceased by her son Scott H. Hiscock and her sister Dorothy Rohanick. Phyllis's life was dedicated to her family. Their care and happiness was most important to her. Her love and support will be dearly missed by all. She was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Race Brook Country Club. Her talent as an artist was evidenced by her wonderful water color paintings. Her passion for the outdoors including hiking and camping was shared with family while spending years together in Stowe, VT. Her funeral service and interment was held privately with her family.
